Here’s a render I did for one of my classes. It was done entirely in Photoshop with the outlines drawn in Illustrator. Enjoy!

Everyday Sketch Blog

I’m moving the everyday sketching to http://www.sketch.lukespringer.com/ for a more organized world. The sketch blog will hopefully be updated almost daily (I’ll be sketching daily regardless!), and this blog is where I’ll continue to post random thoughts and photos when I have time. Anyway, check both often for updates!

Cheers!

Everyday Sketching No. 1

This is the first post of a very ambitious undertaking on my part…. a sketch…. posted here, every single day! Some days they will be something for one of my classes (such as today), others will be tiny doodles just to get something online, but it’s going to happen. If I can continue my photo project, I can do this.

This is a result of my desire to become better at sketching. I’m hoping to document my progression, in a way, in the coming months and perhaps years. I sketched so much at the beginning of last quarter, and I felt myself get better, but I have been slacking the last couple of months…

Sketching is important as a designer, and a person and this project is forcing me (in a good way) to sketch more, even if it’s for 5 minutes at a time.

So there you have it, here’s round one… some pencil sharpeners for class:
